1982 ncaa opening... that year, the Letran Cheering Squad finally had the guts to somehow let the admin realize how neglected the squad is. All of us then, lead by the then overall head cheerleader Arnel Ambat decided to boycott the opening ceremony of the NCAA. During the opening ceremony at the Rizal Memorial Basketball Stadium, no cheerleader can be seen in the stadium. we were all, as a whole squad, stayed at the tennis court shaded area. tears can be seen in our eyes when we heard the announcement of the Letran contigent, there were no yells, claps etc. only the band playing the "OLD LETRAN" which can be heard in the stadium BUT not in the tennis court as we all sang the song and shout "RAH RAH LETRAN ANACK!"

After the ceremony, it's now time for the cheerleaders to show that we will not neglect our primary duty in serving letran, to boost the players moral and enhance the crowd! we entered the stadium, lead by the overall Arnel, Asst. Overall Leo, CTO Mike Short, College Head Scooby (r.i.p), asst college head Noel (thats me), HS Head Pabs, Asst HS Head Chito and the rest of the squad. Yells, claps, the stadium rocks as the crowd saw our entry, wearing white pants and white shirts with white katsa arm bands in our right hands. tears and sweat flowing in my face as we started cheering for letran... and the rest was history...

truly, being a letranite is something you will be proud of but being a letran cheerleader will make you proud...
